The director of project, Gina Ramcharan, said the company worked with the Michigan-based W.K. Kellogg Foundation that have funded $300,000 to create an incubator for potential low-to-middle-income entrepreneurs.

According to her, the proposal was out of the box for the foundation as it usually work with child welfare issues and it is first time it is working for native-born African American women. She further said that the main focus is on the welfare of the children, but one of the best ways to help children is to help their parents out of poverty.

The proposal was shaped to identify the difficulties underprivileged black women business owners generally face and to remove those obstacles. This is all about a community of African American women took the step to put the lives of other African American women on the path of success. Those women who may not have found any opportunity without this program.

A few entrepreneurs only concentrate on creating a traditional business, so the officials of this project has decided that the program looks to expand contestants’ outlooks on wholesale and ecommerce. The director of the project wants to eliminate this small thinking.

Entrepreneurs can apply for this program, as applications are currently open till 23rd August. Applicants are also encouraged to attend an orientation on 18th or 22nd August and participate in a business night on 25th August. Young emerging entrepreneurs from all over the world are applying for the program.

The first 25 applicants will be notified by 31st August and they need to attend sessions to build awareness. The director wants that only those black women who are actually serious about creating a business and future for themselves apply for this program. The program will not be based on the type of business, as Ramcharan believes any dreams can come true, it’s going to be based on passion.
